Relying on the Generosity of Others

Cold Mountain Zen relies on volunteers to do its work everyday.  Some individuals help to set up for daily zazen: setting out cushions, preparing the altar and the tea. Other people volunteer to make sesshin run smoothly, from sending out emails to preparing the zendo, cooking and welcoming guests. Volunteers record, upload and transcribe teishos, as well as maintain the website on a regular basis. The Board of Directors is comprised entirely of volunteers from the sangha.

Take your practice into service by volunteering!

Cold Mountain Zen, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit established with the mission to provide for the preservation and transmission of the teaching and practice of Rinzai Zen Buddhism in New Jersey.

If you would like to get involved, please talk with Kurt Spellmeyer or the host volunteer at one of the sitting groups. You may also email info@coldmountainzen.org
